I guess this is where I'm supposed to talk about how much I love photography, or the awards I may have won.  I think you may already know that I love what I do, and I hope my images speak to you themselves.  What I would rather tell you what's important to me, and that is my clients.   One of the greatest enjoyments I get out of my business is showing one of my couples their wedding images for the first time.  Watching them laugh, smile, cry.  That's what it's all about, and that's why I love what I do.

Mia Sorella, an interview

I want to start doing a series of vendor interviews for the people that read this blog. My goal is to find the more unique vendors that you may not know about that I’ve had the fortune of working with. I want them to be local, personal, and unique. If anyone else has any suggestions for other vendors I can do please let me know as I continue my search.

My first interview is with Susannah, one of the owners of Mia Sorella Designs.

Who exactly is Mia Sorella?

“Mia Sorella” means “My Sister” in Italian–it’s me and my sister,
obviously! :-)

What makes your jewelry business different?

Our jewelry business is totally personal. We go above and beyond to
make each piece unique for our customers’ liking–if you like a
certain piece we’ve made, but would like it a bit shorter or on gold
instead of silver, we can do that! We really do care about people
enjoying their piece, so if there is anything we can do to ensure
that, we do it.

What can you do for brides and wedding parties?

We love designing bridal jewelry!! We can do anything from pearls to
natural stones to gold or silver. We have some of our own classic
designs, but we also love when brides bring us designs they’ve found.
Our pieces are completely custom designed, and we also include custom
packaging which incorporates your wedding colors.

What is your inspiration?

We are inspired by the natural designs of Creation. All the different
shades, shapes, colors and sizes are astounding, and we’d like to
think are reflected in our pieces.

What made you want to get started?

Honestly, my sister Annie and I had always sort of dreamed of owning a
business together. We would sit out on our back deck and brainstorm
ideas of what kind of business we would own. Then it just sort of
happened. I decided to make the jewelry for my own bridesmaids in my
wedding, and that’s sort of when it all happened.
