I guess this is where I'm supposed to talk about how much I love photography, or the awards I may have won.  I think you may already know that I love what I do, and I hope my images speak to you themselves.  What I would rather tell you what's important to me, and that is my clients.   One of the greatest enjoyments I get out of my business is showing one of my couples their wedding images for the first time.  Watching them laugh, smile, cry.  That's what it's all about, and that's why I love what I do.

vendor recommendations {updated}

I thought I would update my vendor recommendations since it’s been a while. First off, let me answer the most popular question I get. No, none of these vendors requested to be put on my site, give me anything, or did anything to be put on my site. I’ve worked with a lot of wedding vendors over the last 4-5 years. There are a lot of good ones out there, but these are the great ones.

* Band – Boogie Chyld

These guys are amazing. They blow every other wedding band I’ve ever worked with out of the water. They really know how to keep the party going while still appealing to all age groups. The last wedding I did with them they were performing everything from the black eyed peas to jimi hendrix.

* DJ – Jim Hussey

Jim is an extremely classy guy. I’ve worked with him a lot. He knows weddings inside and out, unlike some of the kids you get with the big DJ companies.

* Planner – Proposing Dreams

Sabrina, the owner, has a ton of great girls working for her. Everytime I’ve worked with them their main goal is make sure every problem is fixed so you don’t even have to hear about it.

* Planner – Soirée St. Louis

If you’re looking to make a statement or plan a high end wedding Jen at Soirée is who you need to talk to. She has all the connections with the exclusive venues and vendors. On top of that she is extremely great to work with on the wedding day.

* Florist – Bloomin Buckets

Another one I can’t say enough about. Barb(the owner) is the only florist I’ve seen so far who ends up befriending all her clients because they fall in love with her. She truly loves what she does and it shows.

* Venue – Sqwires Annex

Probably my favorite St. Louis venue. It’s not the largest, but has a lot of personality. Exposed brick, high ceilings, loft area, great staff….it all works out. I have done weddings here, but it is mostly a reception venue.

* Venue – Schlafly Tap Room (the club room)

This is also mostly a reception venue but I have done one wedding here as well. It just has a lot more character than your standard venues. It is kind of similar to Sqwires but with more of a pub feel.

* Cakes – Terri Bohling 636-391-5853

I almost hesitated in recommending this lady for one, she makes all the cakes for our family I don’t want her to get too busy :) and two, her cakes almost steal the show at receptions. Her designs are very classy, but what really makes her cakes different is that they taste good, really good. Something of a rarity in the wedding cake world believe it or not.

* Graphic Designer – Sweet Shot Graphics

Sweet Shot Graphics is Cara McKinlay.  She works with her clients one on one to create something modern and unique.  If you want something a little different than the usual wedding designs she is the one to talk to.  You can see an interview I did with here here.

* Makeup Artist – Elise Park 314-954-3949

Elise is great to work with and an experienced Chanel esthetician. Her skills as a make-up artist are incredible and you can really tell she loves her art.
